Akshaya Welfare Society, an NGO situated in the Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh, is dedicated to providing free education to underprivileged child Read moreren hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The parents of these children primarily consist of labourers residing in slums. They face challenges in enrolling their kids in public or Government schools due to financial constraints and lack of education. Additionally, the organisation is actively involved in community health initiatives, sanitation, and the establishment of prevention and care units for STI/HIV/AIDS. It also follows an integrated approach to Reproductive and Child Health (RCH), Tuberculosis, and malaria services.

The organisation has reached out to 1,234 beneficiaries through its 34 branches, distributed 300 solar lights to households in Lokhari villages, and conducted successful steel plate donation drives.

Healthcare Programmes
The healthcare initiative of Akshaya Welfare Society encompasses the coordination of blood donation events in collaboration with Government blood banks, providing free medical camps in villages along with medication distribution, and conducting awareness campaigns focused on HIV/AIDS and diabetes.

Skill Development Programme
Akshaya Welfare Society's Skill Development Programme encompasses various activities, including providing skill development training in fields like bookbinding, printing, screen printing, tailoring, typing, and computer coaching to unemployed youth and women. Additionally, the programme involves forming Self Help Groups (SHGs) engaged in income-generating activities such as sheep, goat, and cow rearing. Education classes for farmers regarding crop management, pesticides, fertilizers, agricultural seeds, and information technology are also conducted. The programme aims to generate employment in rural areas and facilitate increased credit flow to rural industries through financial institutions. Moreover, the organisation offers immediate assistance to victims of natural disasters like tsunamis, bomb blasts, accidents, and earthquakes.
