Since there was no alternative facility for Muslims to pursue higher education, Al-Ameen Educational Society was founded in Bangalore in 1966 to provi Read morede educational services for minorities, particularly Muslims. Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the movement's founder, established the groundwork for the first of its kind in Karnataka. Under his patronage, the "Al-Ameen Movement" focused on the banking, health, and education sectors for the benefit of marginalised groups, particularly Muslims. He received support from a group of committed and hardworking individuals whose genuine efforts have led to the establishment of about 20 Al-Ameen Educational Society branches and about 150 institutions serving the cause of education in the State of Karnataka and India.
