With a focus on improving the lives of underprivileged communities and ensuring environmental sustainability, PEJKS has diligently worked for 21 years in collaboration with these communities, Government bodies, and various agencies, especially in remote areas. Its diverse programmes span healthcare, sanitation, education, skill development, women and youth empowerment, among others. Moreover, it has successfully engaged with corporate entities for CSR initiatives, exemplified by partnerships with TATA Motors and BHEL. PEJKS envisions a society that is economically productive, just, environmentally sustainable, and democratically inclusive, continually seeking innovative interventions in its quest for societal betterment.

Programs

  • Zila Panchayat Programme

    PEJKS plays a pivotal role in Uttarakhand's 11 districts by outsourcing 109 individuals to various positions within the Zila Panchayat. These roles encompass Stenographers, Assistant Accountants, Junior Engineers, Assistant Junior Engineers, Tax Collectors, Tax Inspectors, Computer Operators, Drivers, and Anusevak/IVth Class employees. Their presence contributes significantly to the efficient functioning of the Zila Panchayat across these districts.

  • CSR Programme with Tata Motors

    The organisation executes CSR projects through collaborations with corporations like TATA Motors and BHEL, focusing on meaningful societal contributions. Additionally, through programmes such as the General Duty Assistant Batch, PEJKS emphasizes developing life skills crucial for adaptive and positive behaviour in daily challenges. These programmes benefit women by elevating their social importance within families, increasing income in impoverished households, nurturing self-respect, and supporting livelihoods. The outcomes include fostering self-reliance, creating safer environments for women, and enabling their participation in self-employment and employment opportunities, positively impacting their families and communities.

  • Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM)

    PEJKS began its involvement in the Jal Jeevan Mission in May 2020, concentrating efforts in Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts by establishing Village Water and Sanitation Committees and formulating Village Action Plans to support the mission's objectives.

  • VIHAAN Care and Support Centre for PHLIV

    PEJKS has actively participated in the Vihaan program in collaboration with MAMTA-Health Institute for Mother and Child, specifically within the Kumaon region. The programme's implementation involves facilitating access to high-quality care and support services through an integrated approach that supplements existing HIV prevention and treatment initiatives. Services provided to People Living with HIV (PLHIV) encompass counselling, outreach, follow-up support, health referrals, and linking individuals to social welfare schemes.

  • Target Intervention (FSW) Programme

    PEJKS operates a Target Intervention Program to enhance sexual and reproductive health among high-risk groups, emphasizing early intervention to prevent HIV/AIDS spread. This initiative addresses behaviours like unprotected sex and needle sharing, which contribute to over 90% of HIV transmission in India, especially in specific groups. Health services, counselling, and awareness programmes at Drop-in-Centers have been vital in identifying cases and supporting these communities.
