Sambandh

Sambandh's programme, ANNADA, aims to create Climate Smart Villages with food and nutritional security and a clean environment. Through integrated watershed management and the promotion of climate-smart agriculture, it helps rural farmers adapt to climate change caused by global warming. The goal is to increase productivity and generate extra income for the rural poor. Sambandh focuses on making project areas self-sufficient in food, promoting sustainable food habits, and ensuring a clean environment.

Sambandh's ARANYANI programme focuses on sustainable livelihoods through both farm and non-farm activities, particularly targeting Adivasis and Dalit households. With a climate-resilient approach, it implements integrated watershed management and promotes organic cultivation practices and traditional seeds. Beneficiaries receive training on sustainable resource use, including land, water, and forests. Restoring vegetative cover on degraded land is a key strategy to address climate change, rural poverty, and water scarcity. The programme includes various activities such as saal leaf plate making, tamarind cake making, honey and cashew processing through Farmers Producers Organisation (FPO), sale of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs), karanji soil processing, soap making, handwash making, and herbal medicine production, enhancing livelihood opportunities for the community.
