Matruchhaya is a social organisation that supports orphaned, destitute, and abandoned children by providing motherly care in a nurturing, home-like en Read morevironment. Its goal is to offer a safe, family-like atmosphere where children can find security and build a better future. Matruchhaya focuses on humanity, providing nutrition, education, and counselling while promoting Indian culture and values. It currently shelters over 75 girls, including toddlers. The organisation also runs Rugnashray, a short-stay home for patients and their families, offering physiotherapy, Jaipur Foot services, medical equipment loans, and affordable ambulance services.

It offers a comprehensive six-month residential training program at no cost, including three months of practical experience at Goa Medical College, Bambolim. This initiative focuses on teaching the art of caring for the elderly and infirm, providing essential skills for a rewarding career in homecare nursing.

Rugnasahayata Kendra
Rugnasahayata Kendra assists over 500,000 patients annually through its centres located in government hospitals. The centres are situated at Goa Medical College in Bambolim, District Hospitals in Mapusa and Margao, Sub-District Hospital in Ponda, and Cottage Hospital in Chicalim. This extensive network ensures widespread support and care for patients across various regions.
Milestones & Track Record
Matruchhaya has grown from a small intervention to stop child infanticide and counter child trafficking to a full-fledged home for orphans, with its own building and trust established with prominent philanthropists.
