The Trust's inception stems from the personal challenges faced by Karnav Shah, prompting him to start an NGO and various programs aimed at addressing societal issues. Karnav, the founder of JivanamAsteya Trust NGO, previously worked with the Australian-based NGO, Baptcare, where he gained experience in administration, community development, and aged, disabled, dementia, and palliative care management. His personal life experiences, including legal battles and family challenges, led him to transition to social work. Jivanamasteya Trust focuses on real-life solutions and implementations rather than limited advice and consultation. The organization strives to stand with citizens, consumers, families, children, and entrepreneurs during critical life issues caused by socio-economic loopholes, weaker societal conditions, and legal remedies. Returning to India, Karnav recognized the unique challenges faced by the country. Despite economic development, issues such as access to healthcare, legal aid, and fair justice persist. Children remain vulnerable to domestic violence, abuse, and unmet educational and social needs. JivanamAsteya Trust addresses these challenges while also focusing on supporting entrepreneurship, preserving family values, and working on issues related to education, street school education, skill development, social justice, and empowerment. Karnav Shah, driven by his life experiences, aims to ignite reforms and changes in the criminal justice system, law, judiciary, social systems, families, and relationships. He believes in the importance of inclusive growth, safety, protection of constitutional and human rights, and overall wellness. The name "Jivanamasteya" reflects the Trust's commitment to justice for all life, regardless of discrimination based on caste, creed, religion, sex, or gender – encompassing economic, social, educational, and legal empowerment for all.
