Lok Seva Kendra is a non-political, non-profit organization dedicated to rural India's development. It is now working in over 100 villages in the stee Read morep mountainous terrain of the Jharkhand districts. Through education and empowerment, they transfer knowledge to village communities. They strongly believe in collective participatory action for sustainable community development. Operating in rugged mountainous terrain poses challenges, but they collaborate with communities to find practical solutions. Most residents in their area of operation live below the poverty line, with poor agriculture and chronic deforestation. Women have low social and economic status despite being vital to the village economy. Lack of healthcare and education are pressing issues. Lok Sewa Kendra's projects, including employment generation, sanitation campaigns, new agricultural technologies, community healthcare, and support for women and youth groups, help empower communities in these far-flung villages.
