LOK DEEP functions as a platform for individuals who embrace the ethos of "Assisting Individuals in Empowering Themselves." Formulated by a consortium Read more of social activists, which includes Mr. Pradip Kumar Singh and the esteemed Padmashri Bhagvat Murmu, the organisation was born from a collective aspiration to instigate social change in the underprivileged areas of Santhal Pargana in Jharkhand. The term LOK DEEP, signifying "Illuminating the People," advocates for constructive policy reforms at the state level. Grounded in the belief in the inherent dignity and entitlements of all individuals, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, it strives to strengthen community capabilities and foster socio-economic advancement. Its endeavours encompass capacity enhancement, empowerment of women, and education for children, to establish a society built on principles of truth, non-violence, social equity, and fair resource allocation. Its comprehensive strategy includes promoting livelihoods, fortifying institutions, developing agriculture, providing education, improving healthcare, and ensuring access to clean water and sanitation amenities.

Liaison and converge with government and other agencies to undertake the activities leading to sustainable development. 7.Advocacy which covered Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and Right to Education Act 2009. "

Campaign to end violence against women
In Jamtara district, Lok Deep has empowered 10 women's pressure groups to champion women's rights and protect their interests. These groups successfully resolved over 24 cases during the year, and local women frequently turn to them for guidance and moral support when advocating for their rights and interests in nearby areas.

LOK DEEP believes that sustainable development lies not only in availing facilities to the present generation, but also in preparing the next generation for contributing the nation building. StateLok Deep organised the formation of a Biodiversity Management Committee in Saraikela district, Jharkhand, as part of its efforts to promote biodiversity conservation and management.
