Health Care Foundation (HCF), established in 2010 in Kozhikode, Kerala, is a non-profit dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and ment Read moreal disabilities. We provide education, vocational training, medical care, and rehabilitation for individuals with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, and Multiple Disabilities. In addition, HCF operates a Community Mental Health Clinic and a Disaster Management Unit, ensuring accessible mental health services and support during emergencies. Our mission is to create a more inclusive and resilient community where no one is left behind.

  • Karunyatheeram Special School

    Established in 2010, the school is dedicated to empowering differently abled children by offering tailored special education, skill enhancement, and developmental programs. Along with education, the school also offers vocational training to instill essential life skills, promoting autonomy and self sufficiency. The school focus on an inclusive and scientific approach that integrates therapeutic interventions to ensure holistic development

  • Pratheeksha Bhavan Rehabilitation Center

    Pratheeksha Bhavan, supported by Kerala's Social Justice Department, is a care home for differently-abled orphans above 18 years. It provides special education, vocational training, psychological support, and therapeutic interventions. With a focus on overall well-being, it fosters independence and ensures a nurturing space where residents can thrive despite their challenges. In 2024, Pratheeksha Bhavan, Health Care Foundation is honored with the Award for Best Rehabilitation Centre in
    Kerala for Excellence in the disability sector by the
    Department of Social Justice, Government of Kerala. As of January 2025, Pratheeksha Bhavan hosts 35 residents from across the country.

  • Community Psychiatric Clinic

    The Community Psychiatric Clinic initiative of Health Care Foundation offers free psychiatric treatment and medication with support from the Acon Foundation and MHAT. It ensures follow-up care of each and every patient through dedicated volunteers. The clinic runs outpatient services on every Tuesdays and day care on Thursdays and Fridays, providing consistent support to patients.

  • Disaster Management Unit

    The Disaster Management unit an initiative of the Health Care Foundation since 2015, includes resource persons, 120+ active volunteers, and members. The team focuses on disaster management training, rescue, and rehabilitation. The unit has trained thousands of individuals of various groups through its sessions, covering skills like water rescue, CPR, and fire fighting. They have supported rescue operations during Kerala’s floods, landslides, the Nippah virus outbreak, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • National Trust L.L.C

    The National Trust, under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, was established under the 1999 Act for the welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Intellectual Disability and Multiple Disability. HCF is an NGO member of Malappuram’s Local Level Committee (LLC), a quasi-judicial body under this Act. The Trust primarily focuses on capacity development, ensuring rights, and fostering an inclusive society for persons with disabilities and their families.

  • CARE FM 89.6 Community Radio

Operating under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, it promotes inclusivity and expression of the disabled , focusing on their specific needs and interests. The station amplifies their voices and experiences through dedicated shows and programs.

  • Care Village

    The proposed 'Care Village' project aims to expand the Karunyatheeram Campus, utilizing 5 acres of land to create a comprehensive space for continued education, skill development, and rehabilitation. Designed for children transitioning after 11 years at the campus and individuals above 18 years, the project seeks to provide sustainable opportunities for growth and inclusion. Key Features of the Project include, Residential Housing Treatment and Wellness Centre, Lifelong Rehabilitation Facilities, Vocational Training and Employment Hub Arts, and a Cultural Centre.
