The mission serves as an alternative approach to establish a system for professional social work services, promoting voluntarism in social work research, family counselling, community organization, social welfare administration, and more within local communities. At its core, the Social Work Mission places emphasis on the dignity of every individual, valuing and safeguarding human rights as outlined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It also upholds fundamental principles such as patriotism, socialism, secularism, democracy, fraternity, and non-violence as pillars for sustainable development and global peace. The mission strongly advocates that employing scientific methods within professional social work is essential for fostering a healthy society and mobilizing people to safeguard their rights. It operates as a movement dedicated to the nation, striving to enhance the social, political, economic, cultural, and spiritual well-being of its people. Goals 1. Janasabha mission
StateJanasabha stands as a community integration and development initiative by the Social Work Mission, structured across three tiers of community organization. It encompasses the AyalJanasabha, a group of neighborhood families at the grassroots level; the cluster of neighbourhood family groups/Residents' Association in the middle tier; and the upper-level coordinating body known as the Community Development Council, comprising representatives. Each Janasabha operates as a residents' association dedicated to fostering family welfare and the advancement of its designated area. The Mission utilizes Janasabha activities to identify and endorse Janasabha Volunteers, forming a federation to coordinate these activities from the Panchayat level to the national stage.

Self Help Group Programme
StateThe Social Work Mission, a voluntary organization dedicated to professional social work, spearheads Social Work Self Help Group programs aimed at democratizing and popularizing social work services. This initiative also aims to address challenges faced by professionals effectively. This endeavour operates within the framework of the Social Research & Development Project of the Mission. The primary objective is to establish Self Help Groups (SHGs) at the Panchayat/Municipality level and undertake diverse welfare and development projects for communities nationwide.
These SHGs comprise professionals from various disciplines who share similar ideologies, guided by professional social workers. The program is structured to facilitate the implementation of government and CSR schemes at the grassroots level, ensuring efficient administration through collaboration with families, neighbourhood groups, residents' associations, Janasabhas, educational institutions, among others.
