    1. Provide skill training to 80 women in Food Processing.
    2. Promote Income Generating Projects (IGPs) in specific Self-Help Group (SHG) localities.
    3. Offer support to women in areas such as marketing, project development, and bank linkage.
    The training focuses on raising awareness among participants about the success of micro-enterprises. Dr. Fr. Francis Karckat, the college principal, highlighted the necessity of good food and the risks associated with substandard food production. He emphasized that food production often revolves solely around monetary gain, neglecting the importance of ensuring good health through quality. The micro-enterprises initiated by women can guarantee the quality of the products they produce.

  • Skill training for selected women SHG leaders and its members on Jackfruit Processing

    The objectives outlined are as follows:
    1. Provide skill training to 40 women in Food Processing, specifically focusing on Jackfruit products.
    2. Promote Income Generating Projects (IGPs) within targeted Self-Help Group (SHG) localities.
    3. Offer support to women in marketing, project development, and establishing bank linkages.
    About 35 participants attended this training session, which took place at the MCA seminar hall. The training team effectively built a strong rapport with the women belonging to the SHGs. The attendees displayed a keen interest in learning the intricacies of food processing and the creation of various items using jackfruit.
    The initial segment of the training involved a session featuring a video presentation showcasing the history and diverse medicinal values associated with jackfruit and the jack tree. This session aimed to educate the participants about the significance of jackfruit as both a comprehensive food source and a medicinal resource.
