Center for Education Environment and Community works in collaboration with various stakeholders to create multiple local and national level schemes wh Read more ich aim to conserve and protect the environment. The organisation formulates strategies for environmental conservation, natural resources management and related services to promote natural resources based livelihood. It also helps to encourage local and regional environmentalist networks and develop the exchange of information and experiences with other organisations and institutions working in the same field. Additionally, it supports fieldwork and research projects which contribute to study and solve various environmental concerns alongside issues related to rural education, community development, agriculture, livelihood development, drinking water and primary health and sanitation issues. Further, it also encourages the inclusion of environmental science as a subject for both primary and secondary education.

Cyclothon event
CEECo has organized three Cyclothon events for community awareness. The first covered 700 km from Bengaluru to Kodagu and back, conducting programs in 25 schools and promoting fuel conservation. The second, a 1200 km rally from Bengaluru to Talakaveri, focused on Cauvery River awareness, engaging 25 schools and communities. The third spanned 45 days, covering 28 districts of Karnataka from Earth Day to Environment Day, promoting conservation and planting trees under NAMMA KARUNADU. These rallies signify CEECo's commitment to environmental causes and community engagement.

Training programs
The organisation has conducted diverse training programs and workshops for school students and teachers, focusing on environmental conservation and communication skills. It empowers students to share their knowledge with local communities.

Fuel awareness campaign
In collaboration with the Bengaluru chapter of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), the organisation has consistently organized annual awareness programs as part of Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA)’s SAKSHAM campaign. Through these activities, it has facilitated school participation in the national competition via online platforms. Over the past five years (2016-2021), CEECo has successfully engaged over 500,000 students in these initiatives. Acknowledging outstanding efforts, it has awarded certificates to top performers.

Developing Integrated Development Index
The organisation is currently conducting comprehensive field surveys within Arkalgud Taluk, located in Karnataka's Hassan district. The survey encompasses critical sectors such as Education, Health, Agriculture, Water Resources, Drinking Water and Sanitation, Skill Development, Local Markets, Youth and Women Empowerment, Ecology, and Environment. This endeavor aims to holistically assess the region's developmental status, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas that require improvement. The collected data will enable a deeper understanding of the community's needs and guide targeted interventions to enhance overall well-being and sustainable growth. This project underscores the commitment to evidence-based decision-making, fostering inclusive development, and promoting the welfare of the local population.
