The Chaitanya Rural Development Society (CRDS) is a non-governmental, non-religious, and nonprofit organisation that works to improve a lot of society Read more's underprivileged segments. With the combined efforts of development specialists, it was established in 2003–04 and registered under the Karnataka Society Registration Act of 1960. Since then, it has carried out several developmental interventions in the districts of Haveri, Gadag, Dharwad, Hassan, Chitradurga, and Mysore with the assistance of governmental and non-governmental organisations. These districts are dealing with some issues, including poor health, unemployment, and illiteracy. Geographically, these districts are separated into four categories: coastal, semi-arid, plain land, and hilly.
