Works for improving health, enforcing human rights and eliminating instances of bonded labour through TV, radio, online media, street theater, outdoor Read more advertising and mobile phones with projects in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha. It works with special focus on improving maternal and child health and operates multiple projects in the field of sanitation, prevention of infectious diseases, prevention of bonded labour, birth control and healthcare. Its Sanitation project works for ending open defecation in rural areas of India. AdhaFull is its initiative to end gender stereotypes through a television drama series. To address and resolve the issue of gender stereotyping, it has also developed a smartphone game called Nugget. The TV and radio outreach program also works with the aim of improving maternal and child health and promoting family planning through a series of advertising campaigns, radio broadcasts and theater performances. The mass media initiative 'Condom is Just Another Word' aimed to reduce the stigma and taboo surrounding the purchase of birth control methods. It also works in association with National Aids Control Organization (NACO) in India for normalization of condoms and promotion of awareness about Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) through advertisements and radio programs. The Bulgam Bhai project aims to increase the number of people opting for sputum testing to detect cases of tuberculosis (TB) and works through communication tool-kits, games, advertisements and street theater. Reach and Response Project aims to highlight the issue of bonded labour through baseline research and works in collaboration with government, local partners and media organisations to reduce and prevent bonded labour.

Training modules for sanitation workers
The mobile training modules for sanitation workers covers issues including how faecal sludge is managed to prevent water pollution and the spread of disease, and how to improve the lives of sanitation workers and waste collectors in the country. The organisation works towards increasing awareness and encourages people to act by creating engaging social media content, colourful TV drama, animations, radio spots, and attention-grabbing national advertising campaigns. TV show Navrangi Re! (Nine to a Shade), integrated outdoor campaign Malasur, the demon of defeca, and Life Navrangi are some instances.

Women’s economic empowerment project
This project explores digital technology's potential to strengthen women's collectives. Collaborates with academics and media platforms to intervene in gender norms, targeting male 'gatekeepers' hindering women's access to smartphones and mobile internet.

Kilkari and Mobile Academy
StateBBC India team pioneered the innovative mobile health services, Kilkari and Mobile Academy, benefiting millions of mothers with safer pregnancies and newborn care. After successful implementation in Bihar, we handed over the projects to the Government of India for continued impact.
