One of the primary focus areas is to provide free wigs to cancer patients and survivor to restore their self-esteem which is lost due to the hair loss caused by the cancer treatment. The wigs are made from natural hair donated by individuals from all parts of the country. The financial aid programme at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai allows donors to make donations to the trust account of underprivileged cancer patients undergoing treatment. This helps the patient and their family to avoid financial devastation as cost of treatment is covered by donations. A dedicated help-desk has been set up at the same hospital to assist and guide patients with all the activities associated with their treatment and counselling. It also offers discounted screening services and medication to cancer patients by partnering with diagnostic centers and other providers offering discounted treatment and investigative tests. Free internet and tele-counselling services for cancer patients and their caregivers focus on their emotional well-being and fulfillment of their psycho-social needs.
