Uninhibited (Previously Sukhibhava)

Uninhibited creates awareness about menstruation among marginalized women and adolescents. It works with organizations that produce biodegradable sani Read more tary pads and menstrual cups and makes these products available to rural women at low costs, thereby improving their accessibility. It organizes three interactive awareness sessions over the period of one academic year in collaboration with the schools. Peer learning groups are also formed in schools. The group consists of highly motivated girls who can take up the responsibility of spreading menstrual awareness in their respective schools. The groups are self-sustaining and can continue without the help of Uninhibited once the group's student body is aware enough. Apart from this, it also conducts awareness sessions that span over a period of 5 months. In these sessions, women are made aware of and trained in healthy menstrual practices. These women are then encouraged to train the local communities in their neighborhood about the same. The organization has positively affected the life of 17,000 women and adolescents in India.
