The environment friendly cook stoves are sold under the PYRO brand with different varieties and specifications including Tava Stove, Multipurpose Stove, Tea Stove, Powdery Biofuel Stove, Mini Stove, Agni Mitra Stove and Agni Sakshi Stove. The products are fuel efficient and use 30 to 50 percent less firewood than regular cook stoves, having an environmental impact in terms of reduced CO2 emissions, health impact in the form of reduced instances of respiratory illnesses due to toxic smoke and financial impact in the form of fuel saving worth Rs. 14,000 to Rs. 20,000 per year per customer. Through their efforts, they have saved USD 4 million & 80,000 tons of biomass and abated 1,20,000 tons of CO2 emissions. They have received the 2011 Ashoka Fellowship, the 2008 Ashden Energy Champion Award and the 2007 Outstanding Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award. They are planning to further expand operations in the states of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Karnataka.
