India Cares Foundation works towards supporting Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), or NGOs and non-profits, with a focus on encouraging individual do Read morenations to increase CSOs' accountability to a wider audience. It firmly believes in the importance of the Social Sector in creating a compassionate society and is dedicated to improving the quality and impact of social services. This is achieved through collaborations with individuals and like-minded organisations who share its mission. In the year 2000, a group of dedicated individuals in Bengaluru joined forces with a simple yet powerful idea – to provide assistance, motivation, and advocacy for CSOs. Its objective was to offer training, fundraising opportunities, and connections to individuals and organisations looking to engage with civil society organisations. This approach underscores its commitment to strengthening the social sector and promoting responsible giving.

  • WaterLife Campaign

    India Cares Foundation, in collaboration with Biome Environmental Trust and Friends of Lakes, leads the WaterLife programme, dedicated to addressing water scarcity, security, and conservation issues throughout India. It has successfully executed projects such as the Cubbon Park Rejuvenation Project, creating 73 rainwater recharge wells and ensuring 1 lakh litres of daily water supply for the park. Additionally, it has implemented over 150 Rainwater Recharge Wells in Bangalore, alleviating groundwater contamination and urban flooding. Its efforts extend to 11 Government schools, where Rainwater Harvesting Systems enhance student health and sanitation. Moreover, it has revived feeder canals in the Kolar district, benefiting farmers and local biodiversity. Ongoing projects include the creation of a million rainwater recharge wells for Bangalore and the development of a Lake Health Index tool. It also works on reviving Anekal Rajakaluve to enhance water flow to the Dakshin Pinakini river.

    India Cares Foundation supports Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and NGOs in their ongoing fundraising efforts. CSOs rely on various sources like Government Schemes, Grant Making Organisations, Companies engaged in CSR, and individual donors. India Cares recognizes the substantial impact of individual donations and encourages CSOs to engage with donors through events like marathons, including international events such as TCS World 10K, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, and Tata Steel Kolkata 25K. It also offers a digital Wishtree platform for easy donations.

    Additionally, India Cares facilitates the ReachOut initiative to assist small and medium-sized CSOs in improving communication with individuals and companies, enhancing their visibility and donor trust. CSOs that register for this service become India Cares ReachOut partners, gaining access to valuable resources, guidance, and support to enhance their communications with well-wishers and donors.

  • Services for Corporates

    India Cares Foundation provides a platform for companies to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and employee involvement through various avenues. Events, such as the TCS World 10k Bengaluru, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, and Tata Steel Kolkata 25K, offer opportunities for employees to connect with CSR partners and understand the communities they support. Over the past decade, more than 450 companies, including top names, have contributed over Rs 60 Cr and engaged over 10,000 employees through these events. Additionally, India Cares facilitates CSR Melas, enabling companies to connect with small and medium CSOs, and provides support in project identification, partner selection, monitoring, and reporting. It also acts as anchors for large-scale projects benefiting society as a whole, such as the 'EduDaan' initiative and the Cubbon Park Rejuvenation project, which has significantly increased water security for Bengaluru's Cubbon Park.
