Matri Sudha has kept its focus on child survival, health and nutrition and to create leadership among young people to transform the change at the grassroots. Major Achievements The percentage of Malnourished Children reduced from 18.66 percent in 2014 to 11.23 percent in 2016 which had further reduced to less than 1 percent in 2019. 100 Percent Compulsory Vaccination Coverage among children aged less than 2 years. Ante-natal care services of pregnant women increased from 64 percent in 2015 to 95 percent in 2019. Safe deliveries increased from 59 percent in 2015 to 95 percent in 2019. Breastfeeding in the first 24 hours after birth increased from 68 percent to 89 percent in 2019. Acknowledgements Initiated the concept of Nutrition Champions in Matri Sudha in 2015. In 2019 one of the Nutrition Champions from Matri Sudha received the Outlook POSHAN Awards, 2019 given by the Honorable Vice President of India. Matri Sudha achieved 100 percent vaccination coverage among the children aged 12-23 months which was acknowledged by Swasth Immunized India Campaign Brand Ambassador MC Mary Kom in 2019 The Nutrition Champions concept is the Finalist for the e-NGO Challenge Award instituted by the Digital Empowerment Foundation at South-Asia Level from among 439 entries in 2019. The Award Ceremony is to be organized in February 2020. The work on malnutrition in Delhi has been recognized for a documentary film by the NDTV India as part of its Swasth Bharat Campaign along with few other NGOs. Matri Sudha received the Certificate of Excellence in Healthcare Services from the World Health and Wellness Congress, Mumbai in February 2020. 100 Percent School Enrollment and 94 percent School Retention Rate in all intervention areas.
