Go On India produces and sells low-cost, biodegradable, organic maternity and sanitary pads. The pads are produced from organic cotton and are free fr Read moreom chlorine and plastic. The organization produces three kinds of pads: two for new mothers, and one for teenagers. In addition to selling sanitary pads, Go On India aims to make people aware about preventive healthcare. Its three target areas are increasing the accessibility of preventive healthcare products; raising awareness and education about menstruation myths, problems, and solutions; and making talking about menstruation, preventive health care, and sex education more accepted. Go On India visits schools in rural areas throughout the country conducting camps and workshops to raise awareness and eliminate the taboo surrounding menstruation. Its “Ashamed of Asking” initiative aims to empower 10,000 girls in rural Madhya Pradesh by raising awareness about menstrual and sexual hygiene. Go On India was one of the Top 30 Teams selected out of 180 teams from 57 countries at FLANE hosted by Vodafone Institute Accelerator for Female Empowerment in Berlin, Germany, won Ipreneur (South Asia competition) organized by TISS Mumbai, and was selected and incubated at ‘Startup Oasis Jaipur’.
