At Ashish, we provide a comprehensive range of services to ensure that students and interns benefit from high-quality education, specialized therapies Read more, and the necessary resources to flourish. We are committed to addressing not only their developmental and educational needs but also the societal challenges and stigmas they encounter. We are also one of the few organizations applying Social Role Valorisation (SRV) principles in India which emphasizes on importance of enabling marginalized groups, such as people with disabilities, to participate fully in society and assume valued social roles.
Issue
While legal frameworks and educational initiatives are important, they alone are not always sufficient to change societal attitudes. Many who care deeply about individuals with disabilities often question why society isn't more inclusive. Our programs aim to bridge this gap by empowering individuals with autism and their families, offering crucial support and guidance to help them integrate and thrive in various community roles. Additionally, we work closely with parents to strengthen their advocacy skills, enabling them to better support their children and adults with disabilities.
Action
Our Programmes: 1. Ashish Centre (3-17 years) An early intervention center with 1:4 teacher-to-student ratio Multiple therapies to help students with autism and developmental disabilities reach their full potential 2. Ankur -Vocational Centre (above 18 years) -A vocational and life skills program -Job skills are developed and sharpened, suited for their natural talents for routine, memory, and organization -Customized Employment Programme (CEP) - where we DISCOVER the interests, skills, strengths, and abilities of interns and combine all of these with the requirements of different companies and match them for job placements 3. Advay Trainings Training families, professionals, practitioners, community members to grow in their engagement with people with autism and other disabilities. Most of the trainings are based on the ideas of Social Role Valorization (SRV)
