Scientific Research Programme
Earthwatch Institute India engages in a wide range of science-based conservation projects. It researches topics like forests, air quality, water bodies, biodiversity, and climate action, aligning with national missions. In the Western Ghats, it focuses on sustainable forest management, climate action, and energy-efficient technologies. It also works on pollinators, sustainable agriculture, and ecosystem services in the Indian Himalayan region. Its urban projects address the conservation of lakes and forests, while "Project Healthy Air" raises awareness of air quality issues. Other programmes include WASH, promoting sanitation and water technologies, and marine ecosystem conservation. Additionally, it promotes sustainable waste management, citizen science, and climate action initiatives such as solar and energy-efficient technologies.
