Programs

  • Project Pragati

To enable girls who have dropped out of school to rejoin and continue education Educate Girls works on project Pragati. It aims to allow girls to continue their education and clear matriculation by making use of the Governments open school system.

It hires and recruits ‘Preraks’ from villages and trains them to convince and motivate local families to enrol their daughters in open schools. Once convinced, the girls are registered with the open school and are continuously guided by the Prerak through learning camps to ensure retention.

The girls are finally allowed to sit for matriculation examinations and receive their 10th-grade certificates enabling them to further be connected with higher secondary education, skilling and employment opportunities.
