Ambedkar Nagar, a slum in Jaipur, Rajasthan, lacks even the most basic amenities and has horrible living conditions. Home to about 4,700 inhabitants, everyday life is characterised by small living quarters and low-skilled labour.

Gender inequality and low educational attainment are still present, particularly for girls. The Ambedkar Nagar Project by Saarthak tackles these problems head-on.
The centre focuses on women's empowerment, early child care, and computer and English education for adolescents. Computer literacy, sewing, beauty salon procedures, and henna training are among the skills covered in the programmes.
