Inclusive Education
Saksham Resource Centre has been dedicated to educating, rehabilitating, and empowering children with visual impairment, multiple disabilities, and deafblindness since 2006. Children aged 0 to 17 are admitted, with older children receiving vocational skill training and employment opportunities. Upon admission, parents undergo a detailed interview about their child's medical history and interventions. Children are then assessed and placed in appropriate groups with individualized plans developed in consultation with parents, reviewed and adjusted as needed. The centre offers various programs including early intervention, integrated education, computer training, vocational training, and specialized training for deafblind children. Additionally, it provides adult rehabilitation, counseling, and community awareness initiatives to support holistic development and inclusion.
