The Evangelical Fellowship of India Commission on Relief (EFICOR) is a national Christian organization established in 1967, dedicated to Disaster Resp Read moreonse, Development, and Training. Its mission involves serving impoverished and marginalized communities facing poverty, injustice, and disaster across the country. EFICOR is committed to empowering scheduled caste and scheduled tribes, including communities like Musahar in Bihar, Bhil in Rajasthan, Koya and Chenchu in Andhra Pradesh, and Bhoi in Odisha, through various initiatives such as awareness campaigns, capacity building, exposure visits, and livelihood diversification promotion. Their programs also cater to diverse groups including People Living with HIV & AIDS, Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), victims of Human Trafficking, as well as faith-based leaders and institutions. Presently, EFICOR operates in 12 states in India, reaching out to 110,872 socially excluded households.
Action
EFICOR works in areas such as livelihood and food security, maternal and child nutrition, climate change adaptation, emergency response, training and mobilization, anti-human trafficking, peace building, urban resilience, and research and publications.

Programs

Tribal Development Project of Thuamul Rampur Block on Literacy, Comm. Health and Agriculture
The project with integrated development approach aims to empower the Kandha tribal communities towards sustainable development and well-being. It will work in the following areas:
Community Health: increasing the awareness level on primary health care and various communicable diseases and building health seeking behavior.
Adult Education: to increase basic functionary skills and confidence in their daily transactions
Economic Enhancement: Economic empowerment through formation of SHGs and increase their income
Local Governance: To strengthen Village Development Committee function to access government schemes
Agriculture Development: build capacities of farmers on new techniques and usage of high yielding seed varieties.
The Project will benefit 1200 families of Kandha tribes and 300 families of Dom families.
The Project will be implemented for a period 3 years. The total budget for the three years is Rs. 1.2 crores
