It engages in diverse developmental activities to uplift vulnerable groups like children, women, and the elderly, aiming to eradicate illiteracy, enhance health, and foster economic prosperity. Working in districts such as Bahraich, Lakhimpur, Piliphit in Uttar Pradesh, and Champawat in Uttarakhand since its inception, it addresses issues like girls trafficking, health, education, women empowerment, child rights, and WASH. The organisation is driven by a vision to socially uplift marginalized communities and empower individuals with disabilities through education and capacity building, aiming to integrate them into mainstream society. Its mission revolves around ensuring the socio-economic development of weaker sections, small farmers, deprived women, and children. This is accomplished through various activities, emphasizing eco-friendly and health-focused income generation programmes, and employing rights-based and remedial approaches.

Programs

  • Anti Trafficking Programme

    In its anti-trafficking initiative, the organization implemented a program in the border region, raising awareness among community members and Government officials. It aimed to prevent the trafficking of girls and children across borders by educating them about the adverse effects of trafficking and emphasizing its illegality, with potential imprisonment for those involved. The organisation also sensitized stakeholders such as shopkeepers, hoteliers, transporters, and the police to actively participate in preventing trafficking.

  • Environment Programme

    In its environmental programme, the organisation recognized the essential need for a conducive environment for the survival of all living beings. Acknowledging the misuse of precious natural resources in the pursuit of development, it addressed the heightened risks of natural disasters. A targeted awareness campaign in Shivpur block aimed to educate the community about the significance of the environment for optimal survival. The community was advised to contribute to environmental preservation by saving trees and recognizing their role in environmental protection. Furthermore, the organisation promoted and encouraged plantation, highlighting the positive impact of trees on rainfall, essential for cultivating healthy crops.

  • Guddi Seva Hospital Programme

    The organisation established "Guddi Seva Hospital" to address the healthcare needs of the economically disadvantaged scheduled tribe and backward communities in the forest range of Vikas Khand Palia Kala, District Lakhimpur Kheri (U.P.). Recognizing the inadequate health facilities in this region, the organisation provides essential services to the underprivileged with a dedicated team of competent and specialized doctors. The hospital offers a range of diagnostic services, including X-rays and ultrasounds, along with inpatient facilities, aiming to improve healthcare accessibility for the marginalized population.

  • Water & Sanitation Programme

    BGSVS is implementing a water and sanitation programme across 10 gram panchayats in 5 blocks of Bahraich district. The organisation's goal is to raise awareness about water and sanitation, focusing on both the community and school levels.

  • Agriculture Programme

    Recognizing agriculture as a cornerstone of the country's economy and a primary source of income for many, the organization, BGSVS, believes in the transformative potential of enhancing farmers' skills to uplift the broader community. To achieve this, it conducts "Krishak Mitra Sangosthi" programmes in rural areas, aiming to educate farmers about contemporary cropping technologies. Additionally, the organisation arranges seminars and meetings across various locations, where its workers collaborate with agricultural scientists to address local agricultural challenges, contributing to the overall development of the farming community.
