Hope for the Harvest Organisation (HHO) is a dedicated mission focused on alleviating poverty and providing vital social services. It operates as a ta Read morex-exempt charitable entity under Indian laws and Income Tax Acts, with registration under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010 to facilitate international support. HHO is a registered nonprofit that actively supports orphans, disabled individuals, children with HIV/AIDS, the elderly, widows, and disadvantaged women in slums, rural, tribal, and urban areas. Founded by the socially conscious B. Srinivasa Naidu, the organisation aims to empower these marginalized groups, striving to make them self-reliant. HHO's activities encompass a wide spectrum of efforts across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, driven by a coalition of socially aware activists and academics. Its holistic approach aims for comprehensive empowerment and total liberation by employing diverse strategies. The organisation is dedicated to nurturing human potential and fostering community growth in areas of social, economic, cultural, and self-governance spheres. With a special focus on marginalized communities like Adivasis, women, children, disabled individuals, and other vulnerable groups, HHO operates in partnership with the APRNGOs Association to promote the rights and livelihoods of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and other marginalized segments of society.

  • Child Care Programme

Hope for Harvest (HHO) extends its care to the surrounding Tribal and rural villages that lack basic amenities like housing, safe drinking water, and nutritious food. These communities reside in distant areas and forests, often dwelling in makeshift huts and enduring unclean water and inadequate nutrition. HHO recognizes the dire circumstances these families face, striving to provide not only education but also essential provisions such as nourishment, clean water, and shelter to the children who currently lack access to these necessities.

  • Health Programme

Hope for Harvest (HHO) recognizes the increasing unaffordability of medical care in India, making it inaccessible for many. To address this issue, HHO envisions the establishment of a Health Care Center to cater to the needs of children, expectant and nursing mothers, as well as offer facilities for treating minor ailments. The centre aims to provide accessible healthcare by employing specialists such as a Gynaecologist, a Paediatrician, and a General Physician. By strategically locating the Health Care Center in close proximity to HHO, the organisation aims to extend its services to the local community and surrounding villages, ensuring basic healthcare is within reach for all.

  • Education Programmes

Hope for Harvest (HHO) operates in an area with a diverse range of communities, including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, and Minorities. In this rural region, a significant portion of the population belongs to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Economically Backward Classes, relying on small-scale agriculture and labour for their livelihoods. Due to their challenging economic circumstances, education is often neglected, resulting in a literacy rate of less than 20%. Many children under the age of 14 are engaged in labour rather than attending school. HHO aims to address this issue by establishing schools and providing continuous education opportunities to underprivileged children, thus uplifting the educational prospects and future of these marginalized communities.

  • Water Supply Programme

Hope for Harvest (HHO) is dedicated to addressing the critical issue of safe drinking water in tribal communities. Many tribal individuals currently lack access to protected and safe sources of drinking water, resorting to using contaminated pit water and hard water, which poses serious health risks. HHO recognizes the pressing need to provide these vulnerable communities with access to clean and safe drinking water. Through support and funding, HHO aims to implement initiatives that will establish reliable and secure sources of drinking water, thereby significantly improving the health and well-being of the people in these needy villages.

  • Housing & Sanitation Programme

Hope for Harvest (HHO) is committed to improving living conditions and livelihoods in their community. Recognizing the lack of basic housing and sanitation facilities, HHO aims to construct simple housing units and toilets for those in need. In areas where individual toilets may not be feasible, HHO intends to build communal toilets for the community's use. Additionally, addressing the issue of unemployment, HHO seeks to empower both men and women by providing vocational training and necessary tools for various trades, enabling them to earn a livelihood. Through vocational training programmes such as carpentry and tailoring, individuals can develop skills that match their interests and strengths, ultimately helping them secure employment and generate income for themselves and their families.
