  • Since

    2003

The Sneha Charitable Trust (SCT) was established in 2003 to coordinate community health and social services for the sick, impoverished, and most margi Read morenalised members of Indian society. The Camillians, an international faith-based organisation that has spent the last 450 years only in the healthcare industry, are in charge of managing SCT. It is among Camillians' most difficult, imaginative, and demanding projects. It offers care and assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA), the impoverished, mentally and physically challenged children, training in quality healthcare management, vocational rehabilitation, training, and job placement. It is a radical and distinctly global healthcare initiative. Additionally, the trust has been collaborating with national and international care projects run by a variety of government and non-government agencies.

Programs

  • Life Beats

In 2015, the St. Camillus organ donation initiative called LifeBeats was launched. Building a database of willing donors to call upon in times of need is the goal. Although precise figures are unavailable, media accounts typically cite medical professionals who estimate that only 4,000 to 6,000 of the 2,00,000 individuals in India who require kidney transplants each year receive one. The goal of this national effort in India was to inform hospitals, patients, and communities about the need for kidney and other organ donations.

  • Nanma

Snehatheeram's outreach initiative is called Nanma. It helps sick people at their places of employment and residence. In order to transport the ill to medical facilities, Nanma offers ambulance services. It also offers emotional support and counselling to ailing patients and their anxious relatives. Its primary service regions are as follows:

    Visits to homes and workplaces
    Therapy
Health and hunger issues: dietary and medical assistance
Motivation for treatment adherence and coping
Receiving care and treatment for those in need
    awareness-raising initiatives
Kesadaanam (donating hair to patients with cancer)
