Yugantar is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to promoting rightness, evolution, and democracy in India. Through study, communication, campaigning, a Read morend outreach activities, Yugantar has been at the forefront of pioneering work in the development sector. Yugantar is involved in conducting in-depth research to generate new perspectives and influence policy, implementing projects with innovative approaches, and working directly with communities and community-based organisations to advocate for corrective measures in the planning and developmental processes. Programs

  • LGBTQIA+ Programme

    Yugantar is actively involved in the development of the LGBTQIA+ community. Yugantar, along with the QT Collective, a Hyderabad-based queer youth group, has established a QT Center(Queer-Trans Wellness & Support Center).
    The centre will provide queer and trans individuals with safe housing. It will create a sustainable network of resources that will provide support and prevent crises. QT Center has partnered with queer-feminist organisations like Bhumika’s collective, Nirmaan’s Foundation and Pause for Perspective.

  • Women's Development Programme

    Yugantar undertakes projects focused on the development of women. Its Budget Rani project aims to empower female domestic workers in Hyderabad by enhancing their financial knowledge and skills. The project consists of three modules: Budgeting, Savings, and Investments, which cover topics like income and expense recording, saving methods, and investment opportunities. The programme also includes a Snakes & Ladders game to teach the importance of budgeting, savings, and investments. Participants are informed about Government saving and investment schemes such as pension plans and health insurance.
