The Agricultural Development Trust was established in 1971 to address the challenges of water scarcity and improve agricultural practices in Baramati. Read more It played a crucial role in constructing percolation tanks, promoting irrigation, and supporting farmers with financial assistance for wells and modern equipment. The Trust introduced scientific farming techniques, dryland horticulture, and organic farming to enhance productivity. Over time, it expanded into dairy, poultry, and agri-processing, boosting farmers’ incomes and livelihoods. By facilitating mechanisation and providing quality seeds and fertilizers, it significantly improved agricultural output and helped uplift the region's economy. Beyond agriculture, the Trust has made remarkable contributions to education, healthcare, and women’s empowerment. It established a residential educational complex for girls, providing access to quality education in various disciplines. It also set up mobile dispensaries, veterinary services, and skill development programmes, including entrepreneurship training and self-help groups for women. Today, it continues to drive development through collaborations with international institutions, fostering innovation in agriculture, education, and entrepreneurship. The Trust remains committed to transforming the lives of people in Baramati, ensuring sustainable progress for future generations.

Economic Challenged students
Numerous underprivileged kids in and around Baramati have benefited from special scholarships, free ships, and earn-and-learn programs. Students who are struggling financially are given access to the "Karmaveer" mess facilities. Free housing and dining facilities are provided to the students. 656 girls have benefited from the program thus far. Karmveer Mess produced the top student in Std XII in 2006. Every year, 100 underprivileged students are given access to the Earn and Learn Scheme.

Police Recruitment Training
Women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are trained for police recruitment. Girls can participate in free pre-training programs. Students are given both written and physical exams. More than 620 girls have been enlisted in the police force thus far.
i) Physical training to prepare them for police recruitment.
ii) To hold a theory session to enable them to pass the police recruitment theory exam.
iii) To assess women's medical suitability for hiring.
Milestones & Track Record
The trust has expanded to include educational institutions from primary to post-graduate level, a Krishi Vigyan Kendra, and partnerships with international universities for agricultural education and research.
