The Dr. M. L. Dhawale Memorial Trust was established in 1987 by students and patients of Dr. Dhawale. The Trust provides healthcare services to the m Read morearginalized members of the society through its clinics and hospitals at charitable rates. Apart from healthcare, the Trust also works towards all-encompassing community development. In line with that, for last ten years, the Trust has been involved in enhancing the reach and quality of education in the region. MLDT’s Education Program commenced in 2005 with 2 schools and has steadily grown to cover 10 schools in the vicinity of our Cottage Hospital. The program covers formal as well as non-formal development areas, which are otherwise inaccessible to these students. The focus of the program is on students in the age group of 14 to 16 i.e. classes 8th to 10th. Approx. 8 to 10 types of various activities are conducted with the aim of enhancing the quality of education. Tata Trust is supporting our health initiative of mother & child care. The cottage hospital awareness programs begins with adolescent girls & newly married couple, goes on to antenatal care, safe institutional deliveries and postnatal care. MLDT also provides OPD, IPD and Mobile van services to other patients in the 25 villages in Vikramgad Block of Palghar District Maharashtra

MLDT offers healthcare services, holistic community development, antenatal care, institutional delivery, livelihood opportunities, and quality education to poor and distressed communities in rural India.

Impact

MLDT has treated over 50 million people either free or at charitable rates, conducted more than 50,000 dialysis cycles, reduced home deliveries from 90% to less than 2%, and increased birth weights from under 2 kilos to 2.8 kilos.

Its mission is to promote 'Positive Health' through excellence in integrated homoeopathic medical care, education, and research in a cost-effective manner.

Milestones & Track Record

MLDT has been recognized as a Centre of Excellence in Homoeopathy by the Department of AYUSH, Government of India, received NABH accreditation for allopathic and homoeopathic services, and obtained an Indian Merchant Chamber's RBNQA commendation certificate.
