Initially part of Tulsi Trust, a social welfare initiative established by Mr. Mithumal Tulsi Chanrai in 1975, MFV emerged from this parent entity under the leadership of Mr. Jagdish M. Chanrai and other entrepreneurs. Recognizing the link between poverty and blindness, MFV focuses on providing equitable eye care services to underserved communities, aiming to break the cycle of economic hardship exacerbated by visual impairment. The organisation's vision is to restore vision to all visually impaired individuals, regardless of nationality, religion, or socio-economic background. Guided by the philosophy of "Caring Capitalism," MFV strives for sustainable community development through its impactful programmes.

Mission Disha
Mission Disha conducts proactive screenings and interventions for heavy vehicle drivers to address prevalent refractive errors, reducing the risk of accidents and lifetime challenges due to visual impairment. Through screening camps at major hubs, it provides eye health education and recommends spectacles or surgery as necessary, aiming to promote "Vision at Workplaces" and extend its outreach to other public vehicle drivers and skilled workers.

Mission Jeevan
Mission Jeevan, an initiative by Mission for Vision, addresses the critical issue of retinoblastoma, a prevalent form of eye cancer affecting young children. With over 2,500 cases diagnosed annually in India alone, early detection and treatment are imperative. Through timely screening, counselling, financial assistance, and treatment, the programme ensures that 95% of diagnosed children survive, 90% retain their eyes, and 85% maintain their vision. Additionally, it raises awareness among medical professionals and the public while advocating for policy changes to improve retinoblastoma management.
