Safe Kids Foundation is a non profit organisation registered in 2007 to reduce unintentional injuries among children in India. The organisation works Read morein the field of road safety, home safety and health safety. The aim is to reduce unintentional or preventable injuries to children. Injuries such as road traffic injuries, falls, drowning, fire and burns, cuts and bruises. choking, strangulation, poisoning, etc are preventable or unintentional injuries, which are part of road and home safety programs. Under health safety the organisation works with undernourished tribal children to provide them with supplementary nutrition, education on personal hygiene and nutrition and also provides hygiene kits to sustain behaviour change. The organisation works very closely with government departments such as traffic police, police, educational, medical, municipal corporations, to bring about environmental and behavioural changes among children and youth. These changes are brought about by providing education and training programs to parents, teachers, children, youths through schools, colleges, NGOs and communities at large.
