Swadhaar FinAccess (SFA) came into existence in Mumbai through the shared vision of two friends. This nonprofit organisation is dedicated to its missi Read moreon of bolstering the economic capacity of low-income households and microenterprises, with a special emphasis on women. Its core strategy involves imparting financial education and training while facilitating access to savings, insurance, and loans. The ultimate objective is to empower these individuals to cultivate financial well-being within their homes or enterprises and to fulfil their aspirations for a brighter future. It employs a two-pronged approach, often referred to as "Tech and Touch," in its outreach efforts. It leverages technology through tools like the Swadhaar Saathi Mobile application, tele-calling resources, and digital content to disseminate financial knowledge. In parallel, its team of trainers and financial health workers conduct face-to-face group training sessions within communities. It lends its expertise to members hailing from low-income backgrounds, many of whom have limited prior exposure to technology, aiding them in the effective utilization of digital financial resources and services. This comprehensive methodology underscores Swadhaar's active involvement in advancing financial inclusion, with a particular focus on vulnerable segments, notably women, across India.

Master trainers also conduct tailored online classes for NGO and organisational staff. Swadhaar's digital education strategy aims to connect marginalized populations, particularly women, to the country's cutting-edge digital financial system, underpinned by Jan Dhan-Adhaar-Mobile integration and UPI as the payment backbone. MoneyWise Centres for Financial Literacy (CFL)
Centres of Financial Literacy (CFLs) act as crucial catalysts for financial inclusion in remote, impoverished villages. Each CFL covers three blocks, aiming to include 50% of villages within each block and reach 30% of the adult population in those areas. Swadhaar's CFL network involves close collaboration between trainers, communities, and local institutions to ensure comprehensive financial inclusion, especially for women. This encompasses financial and digital literacy training, linking individuals to financial products, and offering support. Over the next three years, Swadhaar's CFL network aims to positively impact over 5 million underserved rural participants, establishing CFLs as reliable resources for rural families to access formal financial services and enhance their financial resilience.
