The Integrated Development Foundation (IDF) is a social development agency that dedicates its life to uplifting the hopes and standard of living of ma Read morerginalised rural communities and people in Bihar and Jharkhand. IDF was established in 1993 by a group of seasoned social development specialists. Since then, it has implemented numerous community-based projects at the grassroots level, utilising a variety of tactics to carry out its purpose tenaciously. It has led the way in enhancing capacity and implementing community-level processes. Three guiding principles govern the organisation: leveraging resources, developing local capacity, fortifying community institutions, and fostering sustainable rural development through convergence. UN agencies, national and international financiers, leading corporate houses under CSR, and state governments all support IDF. In addition, IDF leads several governmental and local NGO networks.

  • Holistic Rural Initiative for Development and Yield

    IDF works for the entire development of the chosen villages by directing multilateral efforts towards addressing various needs through a variety of subject areas and bridging development gaps. It ensures community involvement by bolstering community organisations like farmers' groups, SHGs, teenage groups, village development committees, and others. It provides the creation of communal assets based on needs. To accomplish the program's goals, IDF will make the most of its resources, make sure that services are readily available and accessible, help the core group members get the training and skills they need to become master trainers and collaborate with various government agencies, programs, and initiatives to create a comprehensive result that will be sustainable.

  • TARUNYA-Adolescent Health and Development

    With an eye towards the health and development of teenagers, IDF is working with Engender Health to undertake Project TARUNYA. Adolescent leadership and involvement, equity and inclusion, gender equity, and strategic collaboration with other sectors and stakeholders are the guiding principles. This project's main goals are to treat non-communicable diseases, prevent violence and injuries, promote mental health, improve sexual and reproductive health, and prevent substance abuse.
