Akshaya trust started in 2001 by Mr Gopalan, who, after ten years of running his business successfully, sold off his company to an MNC in 2000. He s Read moretarted Akshaya Trust in November 2011 with a goal of propelling the young and helping the old. The students who were good in academics but were unable to pursue further studies were chosen first. We not only supported them financially, but also guided them into becoming successful. The trust has supported more than 200 students in the last sixteen years. Trust started an old age home to protect the destitute senior citizens at Mudichur in Chennai near Tambaram. The Trust has build an home to give care to the senior citizens who were neglected by their own families. Today, it provides support to 55 odd senior citizens ( some of them are bed-ridden) with good shelter, clothing, food and medical facility with love and affection.

Our committed team goes above and beyond to make sure that our residents receive the love and care they need, which is one of the main reasons why Akshaya Senior Living facilities are considered to be among the best in the nation. We recognise that the senior citizens who seek our assistance are going through a particularly vulnerable time in their lives, and we are dedicated to helping them enjoy this time.
Our houses offer our inhabitants wholesome meals, cosy housing, and access to healthcare. To keep our residents interested and entertained, we regularly plan entertainment events, trips, and outings to temples and other sites of interest. Our goal is to establish a setting where our residents experience love, care, and happiness.

Education Support to Youth
At Akshaya Trust, we think that the path to a better future is via education. We are aware that a lot of young people are compelled to give up on their aspirations because of financial limitations. Since it pains us to watch such brilliant minds go to waste, we have made it our mission to provide them with financial support as they pursue their studies.
We have helped hundreds of young people over the years, and it brings us great satisfaction to watch them flourish. We have witnessed them change their lives, follow their aspirations, and succeed beyond their highest expectations. Their success is our success, and we are honoured to have had even a tiny part in its realisation.
