Founded by a ded Read moreicated group of individuals, OEF collaborates with various stakeholders to address the city's challenges and work towards inclusive and sustainable solutions. It aims to introduce user-friendly, innovative solutions that require minimal effort to implement, fostering cooperation with elected officials, Government bodies, local communities, and service organisations within the city to improve the overall quality of life. The organisation's overarching goal is to instil a sense of belonging and pride among the citizens of Erode while motivating them to take action to improve the city's current conditions and create a brighter, more promising future for Erodu's residents. OEF's dedication lies in nurturing a vibrant and thriving Erode that offers the best socially, economically, and intellectually to its people, making it a world-class city for all.

Healthcare Programmes
Olirum Erodu Foundation (OEF) has undertaken various healthcare initiatives, including creating and maintaining a hospital garden, establishing a Dialysis and Endoscopy Specialty Ward with free treatment, painting hospital premises for accreditation, organizing awareness marathons, renovating ICU and Emergency Wards, conducting health awareness programmes, senior citizen welfare events, and donating medical equipment. It has also implemented a nutritional programme for Government school students and worked on preventing maternal mortality. In collaboration with various organisations, OEF actively raises awareness and provides counselling for suicide prevention, addressing a pressing issue. These efforts demonstrate OEF's commitment to improving healthcare and well-being in the community.

Education Programme
Olirum Erodu Foundation (OEF) focuses on education initiatives, offering holistic learning opportunities, repainting schools, and supporting sports talents. It sponsored chess Grand Master Mr P. Iniyan and operates "Smart Kubos" libraries at Erode Railway Junction. OEF organised job fairs for persons with disabilities, free NEET coaching classes, and donated computers to schools. It conducts life skills and exam awareness classes, established libraries, and raised awareness about child sexual abuse through puppet shows. Quiz competitions, cot donations, sponsorship of sports talent in archery, and solar panel installation at a school reflect OEF's commitment to education and community welfare.

Water Management Programme
The Olirum Erodu Foundation (OEF) focuses on water management as part of its activities. The WATER MANAGEMENT PANEL is committed to securing a sustainable water supply for future generations, aiming to provide clean, freely available drinking water directly from municipal sources. Its primary initiatives include raising awareness in the community about responsible water usage and assisting them in implementing Rain Water Harvesting Systems. Additionally, the panel collaborates with local authorities, elected representatives, and the community to restore and maintain water bodies. It also advocates for the responsible use of these water resources among all stakeholders to ensure fair access.

Waste Management Programme
The Olirum Erodu Foundation (OEF) is actively involved in waste management through its Waste Management Panel. This panel aims to foster a culture of Green Clean Cities by educating the public about responsible waste handling, using innovative techniques and simple technologies. The key initiatives of the panel include engaging young people in promoting waste segregation at its source, offering technical support for home-based waste treatment to create eco-friendly homes, collaborating with city authorities to establish decentralized wastewater treatment systems, and utilizing treated water for community landscaping and groundwater replenishment. Furthermore, the panel raises awareness about the harmful effects of E-waste and organises efficient collection and proper disposal methods.

Infrastructure Support Programme
The OEF Infrastructure Panel engages in a range of projects to uplift the community. Notably, they aided 37 families in relocating from the Central Warehousing Corporation platform, providing financial support for shelter construction. In 2015, it transformed the Erode Railway Station area into a scenic park, complete with maintenance and lighting. Collaborating with the District Highways Department, it built a Bus Shelter near the Hospital for public use. It also renovated departments at CNC College, benefiting students. Initiatives like Erode District Map Awareness and the River Side Road Survey aim to improve traffic conditions. It relocated transformers obstructing public transport and beautified key roads with ornamental plants. In 2020, it created a roadside park on Bhavani Road. Working with NATPAC, it plans to make Erode traffic-free through strategic infrastructure projects, contributing Rs. 20,00,000 for a detailed Project Report.
