Our project are depending upon the seasonal rain falls only. If monsoon fails most of the families area is placed under the karanthamalai hills of western hat. All our agriculture sources are migrated into dam located areas for harvesting work as a Agri collie for getting paddy for their livelihood. Usually as being an indigenous hilly area resources from government and non government are poor in nature. Families are depending hilly sources of honey collection, medicinal plant collection, firewood collection, lemongrass collection, minor agriculture, seasonal agriculture activities, goat rearing, milch animal rearing, Basket making , Coconut leaves thatching, and other Agri allied activities in that project villages. It is a male dominated society woman are following in the willingness of male and no specific privileges for them.. As per the customary practices widower not allowed re- marriage, not allowed in the customary practices. In some pockets of the area child marriage issues are common and property related marriages are common ultimately this habit leads unwanted affectless of physical physiological, social and mental issues in most of the families. Alcoholism is a major issue of the family and this habit leads family issues and disorganization. Denial of female child education is major issue in the remote indigenous hilly village area. Here the total educational status is very poor in nature only 64 percentage then women educational status is only 45 percentage among them 26 percentage of the women are not able to write but they can read but not fully. So they do not know their right importance, education, employment opportunity statuses and other things. Though women elected as a president in the local panchayat their husband ruling such a stage our saadow extend from 6 villages to 3 blocks stage by stage by providing training and resource inputs though not able to cover more families in the project operational area.
