“My name is Vishak… and this is the first time I am speaking in English.” Vishak grew up in a Child Care Institution. Like many children there, he carried a silent wound:

“I am from a Children’s Home.

What will others think if I make a mistake?”

He was afraid to speak, especially in English. He avoided the front of the class. He felt smaller and less deserving.

Then he joined Ether India’s FunLingua sessions in 2018. And on the second day, the boy who once hid behind silence raised his hand and said:

“Can I lead today’s activity?”

FunLingua unlocked something inside him.

He began speaking, presenting, and even leading sessions.

At school, teachers trusted him with reporting duties, a role he handled confidently.

Years later, that same confidence helped him secure remote work with a digital marketing company in Qatar. His journey began with one moment of courage.

The Problem

Children in Children Care Institutes often: fear English, feel inferior because of their background, lack confidence to speak and stay silent even when they know the answer

This silence follows them into adulthood and becomes a lifelong barrier to opportunity.

We are providing 6-Month Weekend English Confidence Program for 111 children in 4 CCIs.

Through theatre, games, storytelling, and role-play, children learn to speak without fear, express themselves, develop leadership skills, rebuild self-worth, take their first steps in English.

THE FINAL EVENT: A Celebration of Courage

In March 2026, all 111 children will come together for “Courage to Voice” – An English Expression Stage Event. Children who once hesitated will introduce themselves confidently, perform English skits, speak on stage for the first time and celebrate their courage.

This event is the emotional peak of the program and your donation makes it possible.
