Help India restore healthcare, livelihoods, fight hunger and more in this deadly second wave of Covid-19

India is facing the worst COVID-19 crisis any country has faced so far. We are seeing a collapse of healthcare systems, lack of oxygen, livelihoods lost, hunger and homelessness, human right violations, lower education outcomes especially for the underprivileged. This all could setback India by a decade. State and central governments are desperately trying to fix the situation which needs a lot more participation from people and the world.

Solution:

Your generous donations will really help support India in addressing the challenge. While the immediate need is Health Care, there are other areas of focus including education, livelihood, humanitarian support. We will be working with Give India (www.giveindia.org) and the many NGOs that they support, to ensure execution at the ground level so as to make every one of your contributions count!! Our immediate focus will be on the healthcare system and ensuring we get the much needed care to as many citizens and hospitals. This is the time for you to open your purses and give generously. NGOs we are considering will cover areas greatly affected by the recent wave of the pandemic including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Funds will be deployed so it covers children, elderly, those affected by disaster including migrant laborers. Some of the NGOs we will be supporting include KVN Foundation, TeachforIndia, Bhumi, Concern India, Project Mumbai, Doctors for You,

UM India Alumni Association (UMIAA) and India Advisory Board in India will ensure that donations will be steered to relief work in the best way possible.
