Story

Empowering Women, Building a Stronger India

In India, millions of women have dreams and aspirations, but they face significant barriers—be it due to lack of education, economic inequality, or the absence of resources. For many, access to opportunities is a distant hope. However, we believe that with the right support, every woman can unlock her potential and make a difference in her community.

Shri Rohit Sharma Charitable Trust is proud to launch “Help Udaan: Women Soaring Towards Success”, an initiative that aims to empower Indian women through skills, education, mentorship, and financial independence. With your help, we can provide women across India the opportunity to rise above societal challenges and soar towards a brighter future.

A Journey of Empowerment Begins Here

Take the story of Rani, a woman from a rural village in Uttar Pradesh. Despite her dreams of becoming a successful entrepreneur, Rani struggled due to her lack of financial literacy, formal education, and access to professional training. She worked as a daily wage laborer, living in constant uncertainty about her future.

But that changed when Rani joined “Help Udaan: Women Soaring Towards Success.” She enrolled in our skill development program, which included workshops on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and self-empowerment. Today, Rani runs a successful tailoring business, employs local women, and provides a better future for her family.

Rani’s story is one of many. Across India, there are women just like her—full of potential but held back by circumstances. Help Udaan is here to give them the wings they need to rise, just as we did for Rani.

What We Offer Through "Help Udaan"

The “Help Udaan” project offers a holistic approach to women’s empowerment, focusing on key areas where women face the most challenges:

  1. Skill Development & Vocational Training: We provide comprehensive workshops in various skills like stitching, beautician courses, IT training, and more, empowering women to support their families and achieve financial independence.
  2. Financial Literacy & Microloans: Understanding finances is a critical aspect of women’s empowerment. We teach women the basics of budgeting, saving, and investing, while also offering microloans to help them start their own businesses.
  3. Health & Wellness Programs: Empowerment also means ensuring that women are healthy, both physically and mentally. We provide wellness programs that focus on healthcare, nutrition, and mental well-being.
  4. Mentorship & Support: One-on-one mentorship with successful women who have faced similar struggles helps participants gain confidence and the skills needed to navigate their personal and professional journeys.

The Ripple Effect of Empowerment in India

Empowering a woman in India has a ripple effect that impacts her family, community, and the nation as a whole. When women are educated, they educate their children. When women become financially independent, they break the cycle of poverty and give their families a better future. A woman’s success is not just her own—it transforms the lives of those around her.

By contributing to Help Udaan, you’re not only helping one woman but empowering her entire community. When women rise, India rises.
