This winter, help Harsh keep abandoned elderly warm and care for their needs

The funds so graciously provided to us have been used for various purposes such as providing monthly food rations for our beneficiaries, routine medical check-ups, sponsoring outings, funeral rites, and specialized medical care for our beneficiaries.

The inmates of Second innings homes were once had it all.

They lived full lives, caring for their families and dedicating themselves to being good parents. But when their own children throw them out of their homes, they had no one to turn to. Homeless and hungry, they were in a miserable situation.

That's where Sarthak Prayas came in. Our Second Innings shelter home is a lifeline for the feeble and helpless who deserve to live their lives with dignity. Below is an account of one of our team member's visits to the shelter home.

The Give team reached the care home around 10:00 AM where we had an informal conversation with the beneficiaries. They had just eaten breakfast and were remarkably pleased to engage with us, They told us their life stories, their dreams, and how they were well looked after at Sarthak Prayas. Despite their past, they were cheerful, and we were astonished at their resilience! Always smiling, always laughing, their energy was contagious, and we found ourselves unwilling to leave their company.

After our conversation, we drove to the main office and discussed the issues and future of Sarthak Prayas. We were pleased to see how carefully they managed the wellbeing of their beneficiaries. The employees responsible for the care home are attentive and dedicated. It was a pleasure listening to their passion for helping the elderly. They do their best with what they have, but face challenges during some medical emergencies. As such, the support of our generous donors is critical in running this facility.

Overall, it was a pleasant day at Sarthak Prayas shelter home. It is a well-managed, efficiently run care home supervised by a dedicated team and populated with grateful beneficiaries. But we need your help to expand our efforts and save even more abandoned elderly!
