The Indian disability landscape is shaped by systemic underrepresentation, affecting access to education, employment, and social participation for people with disabilities (PwDs). While multiple policies and initiatives exist to support them, their impact remains fragmented, often addressing specific challenges without resolving deeper structural barriers.
This report brings together key information to provide a holistic view of where PwDs stand today, the policies that influence their inclusion, and the gaps that still need attention. By presenting this comprehensive picture, we aim to contribute to a more informed understanding of the current state of disability inclusion in India.
