We are a Not-for-Profit organisation, aspiring to make Erode - The Best Place to Live and Work. Towards this, we, 75 Trustees and growing, started working under 5(Five) Verticals, namely, Affordable Healthcare, Holistic Education, Infrastructure Management, Water Management and Environment Management.
We have rejuvenated/created 50 water bodies and canal systems, increasing the water holding capacity by 100 times.
We are running a 12-bed Dialysis Unit in the Government General Hospital of Erode, offering FREE Dialysis to 36 patients every day, in addition to revamping the Casualty Ward at an outlay of Rs.45 lakhs, with Liquid Oxygen based Supply System, tiled flooring and walls, Air-conditioned Wards, etc. Phase-1 of 'Vaatta Saattam' Scheme covering almost 1000 Stunted Children with 1(One) Kilogram of Fortified Drink Mix every month, in addition to the creation and conduct of Health Clubs in all Government Schools in Erode.
Life Skills Training has been implemented in about 45 Government and Corporation-run schools in Erode City. Separate Trust was created to bring all Vocational Training Institutions into the fold, facilitating a One Stop Shop for Trainees, Trainers and Industry Bodies. Support for Sports Skills Development saw the victory of First Grandmaster of Erode, in Chess. Our stint continues in other sports also, towards creating a minimum of 2(Two) Gold Medalists at the Olympics.
A study has been launched for analysing the traffic and road infrastructure of the city, to come up with the proposals to ease traffic, in addition to designated parking spaces, pedestrian paths, street hawkers, etc. All road medians have been planted and maintained by the Trust and its Trustees.
More than 20,000 trees have been planted in the city and are being maintained by the Trust and associated agencies. Fuel and Power Free Incinerators have been provided to 2(Two) Panchayats and 6(Six) more are in the various of commissioning, including a 10MT/day incinerator for the Erode City Corporation. A pilot Study using Frontier Technology in the treatment of Mixed Effluents with an outlay of Rs. 2 Crores is underway, having crossed the Technical Feasibility and on the verge to accomplish Commercial Feasibility. Captive Sewage Treatment is being advocated and encouraged, with a few compliances.
Current initiative to tide over the COVID Pandemic, is through the operation of a 140-bed Corona Care Centre with the approval of the State Government, has handled more than 1000 COVID Positive patients, with 50% as Inpatients and 50% as Outpatients. The entire provisions of Accommodation, Medical Care, Medicines, Food, etc., have been made at FREE OF COST. Quite a few organisations have even contributed to the need for Oxygen Concentrators.
