Organizes various programmes like: • Early intervention & stimulation programme for 0-5 age for condition M.R. • Special school for 5 -15 age of children with M.R. • Conducts workshops for 15 plus mentally challenged persons at their vocational training center and shelter called Manochaitanya. • Open employment creation programme with various options of manufacturing of products like note books, greeting cards, candles, spiral binding, clip files, clip files, screen printing, cloth-lined covers, lamination, envelopes, file pads, chalk pieces, sweet boxes, cake pads, cake pads, paper plates, leaf plates, papads, hand-made paper by recycling of waste paper, xerox. • Provides training on installed manufacturing units like sweet box making, waste paper recycling pulp, leaf plates pressing with moulding machine, rolling of white papers by persons with down’s syndrome, screen printing on prepared envelopes, file pad making by intellectually disabled girls, stamping of long size note books with pinning machine, long size note book title pages folding activity, envelops and office files making by mentally challenged boys and girls, paper plate making, • Conducts music and dance classes, physiotherapy, speech therapy, psychological assessment, karate classes. • Provides and manages permanent shelter, hostel and long stay facility. It plans for following short duration programmes like care giver’s programme, agriculture, horticulture, poultry farm, cottage industries to make the mentally challenged as self-reliant, awareness programme on prevention of further birth of mentally handicapped children, self-employment & independent group homes, respite care centre.
