Programs

  • Private Sector Initiatives Encouragement Programme

Kashish focuses on private sector-led supplementary skill development, adapting to various segments. It categorizes these segments based on skill marketability and student income levels. In the "Attractive segment," it supports organic growth in a favourable market. For the "Viable segment," with marginal profitability or higher risks, its goal is to enhance attractiveness for private investment. In the "Completely unviable segment," Kashish collaborates with Government entities to innovate and create new business models, aiming to shift entities to the viable category, fostering sustainability.

  • Skill Development Programme

Meeting the goal of skilling/up-skilling 150 million people by 2022 demands substantial improvements in primary, secondary, and higher education, alongside a significant boost in supplementary skill development. Kashish primarily emphasizes supplementary skill enhancement and aims to establish cohesive pathways within the education system to address this challenge.

  • Corporate Social Responsibility Programme

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a statutory requirement outlined in the Companies Act, of 2013, whereby corporations must allocate 2 per cent of their average net profits to support Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs). This mandate applies to companies with a net worth of Rs. 500 crores or more, a turnover exceeding Rs. 1000 crores, or a net profit surpassing Rs. 5 crores during any financial year. CSR funding is dedicated to uplifting economically disadvantaged individuals, enhancing their living standards, and promoting environmental and social welfare initiatives. It reflects a corporate commitment to environmental responsibility and positive societal change, encompassing various programmes such as education, health, environmental conservation, and livelihood enhancement.

  • MANAS Programme

MANAS is a comprehensive skill development initiative, focusing on minority communities in India. It collaborates with national and international training organisations through public-private partnerships to offer in-demand skills training. Additionally, it facilitates concessional credit for minority entrepreneurs. MANAS also preserves traditional arts and crafts at risk due to globalization. Its mission is to empower minorities with entrepreneurial and market-driven skills, promoting inclusive development. The programme ensures transparency with biometric attendance, live CCTV coverage, and a user-friendly website. It aims to standardize training through partnerships and provide technical and marketing support for new entrepreneurs.

  • Strategic Business Units Programme

The Government Mandates division is dedicated to executing skill development initiatives supported by different central and state Government ministries and departments nationwide. Notable collaborations include Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), DDU GKY, Seekho&Kamao, NaiManzil, and vocationalization schemes under various state Governments. This effort aims to make a substantial 40 per cent contribution to the larger goal of upskilling 400 million individuals in India by 2022, with a primary focus on nurturing private sector involvement and providing financial support for skill development programmes.
