Bookworm Trust was established in 2005 with the purpose of providing a diverse collection of children's books that are easily available to everyone. T Read morehe organisation has since expanded its goals to include empowering children to understand written words, broadening their horizons, and providing them with opportunities to think beyond their social and cultural backgrounds. Bookworm offers various programmes such as the Library in Schools (LiS) and Mobile Outreach Programme (MOP) to expose children to reading and storytelling. Furthermore, Bookworm is committed to developing resources to enhance learning and meet the needs of children, parents, and educators.

Libraries in Schools Programme(LiS)
Its Libraries in Schools (LiS) programme promotes literacy and learning among new readers through carefully selected, age-appropriate books and storytelling. The programme encourages creativity and strengthens language development, spelling, and academic performance. LiS includes activities like browsing, read-aloud time, extension activities, and borrowing and lending books.

Mobile Outreach Programme(MOP)
The Mobile Outreach Programme extends library access to diverse groups of children. MOP selects relevant stories, discusses elements, and uses various activities to encourage reading. Lending libraries are created, and children attending three sessions receive kits. MOP Junior introduces reading to ages 3-6. MOP fosters informed reading for every child, integrating books into their lives.

Library & Resource Centre
Its Library & Resource Centre is a lending library in Taleigao, offering an extensive collection of books for children. The centre also provides dedicated spaces for creative activities, runs workshops for children and parents, and engages in cultural activities such as needlecraft groups, book discussions, a pre-school programme, and an adult art programme. It is a nurturing and creative environment for people of all ages to learn and grow.

Professional Development Programme
Bookworm Trust provides professional development initiatives for children's library professionals in India, including a certificate course for library educators in English, school library audits, and training programmes. It also offers workshops and courses for Wipro fellows and partners and an introductory course called "Libraries-Chapter I." These initiatives aim to strengthen library practices and learning.
