Adhikar's activities encompass various skill development initiatives aimed at empowering marginalized communities in Odisha. These include skill training centres for youth, offering courses in trades like Electrical and Welding, enabling them to enter the job market. Additionally, it conducts Yoga training programmes to empower rural women with skills in Yoga and promote physical and emotional well-being. The organisation also collaborates with Tata Trust to provide short-term courses in construction-related trades, facilitating job opportunities. Furthermore, Adhikar offers soft skill development training, focusing on tailoring and sales executive skills, benefiting socially underprivileged women and school dropout girls. It has a dedicated Centre for Capacity Building to support skill and knowledge development in areas like microcredit, livelihood promotion, and financial literacy.

Adhikar's Disaster Response programme is vital for cyclone-prone Odisha. It has responded to major cyclones like Fani, Titli, and Phailin, offering rapid assessments, relief kits, and engaging affected communities in recovery efforts. Recognizing the increasing threat of extreme weather due to climate change, Adhikar aims to develop strategies for resilient infrastructure and livelihoods. Its actions go beyond immediate relief, focusing on long-term solutions to enhance community resilience in the face of changing climatic conditions.

Adhikar's Water & Sanitation program addresses critical public health issues by ensuring access to clean water and sanitation facilities for marginalized communities in Odisha. It focuses on educating communities to promote safe drinking water and sanitation practices, creating low-cost infrastructure through microloans, benefiting over 52,000 households. It also combats specific challenges, like saline water contamination, using advanced technology for clean water access. Additionally, Adhikar addresses water scarcity problems through Community Borewells and supports affordable housing for the rural poor, making resilient housing accessible through low-cost loans, benefiting 1,000 households.

Adhikar's Livelihood Restoration Programme focuses on economically empowering women from poor and marginalized communities in India. It provides training and support to help women, including homemakers, build sustainable livelihoods. Its initiatives include projects like Chick Rearing, which provides one-week-old chicks to families, enabling them to generate income. Additionally, Adhikar promotes dairy farming with advanced technology and organic practices, benefiting around 500 households. In Ranpur block, they implemented the "Samridhi" program to enhance farming and livestock rearing, introducing modern techniques and creating market linkages to improve livelihoods in one of Odisha's poorest areas. These efforts aim to uplift women and marginalized communities, enabling them to lead dignified lives through economic independence.

Adhikar runs the Cloth for Work (CFW) programme to address the essential need for clothing among disadvantaged communities. While food and shelter are prioritized, clothing's importance is often overlooked. CFW bridges this gap by providing clothing and essentials in exchange for community development work, including labour contributions. This ensures access to decent clothing and boosts local economies by creating assets like improved water facilities and road repairs. Launched in 2016 in Kalahandi district, in collaboration with Goonj New Delhi, CFW primarily targets socially and economically vulnerable groups, benefiting over 640 households and around 4000 individuals in the region, improving their quality of life.
