Akhil Bhartiya Gramodyog Seva Sansthan(ABGSS) is a registered voluntary organization.it got registered in the year 1985 by a group of like-minded peop Read morele of Bahraich to improve the quality of life of the people of Bahraich. Since its inception ABGSS has been working in Bahraich district on issues related to Child Rights, Water and Sanitation, Balwari Project, Self Help Groups, Safe Motherhood and Child Survival, Literacy and Economic Empowerment sectors. Besides this organization has implemented SIFPSA supported projects. Flood relief programme. supported by UNICEF and implementing the project named “Sure Start” With the support of BAIF (PATH) in 2 blocks of district Bahraich and Innovative Approach for Improving the Reproductive Family Planning Project with the support of SIFPSA in 2 Blocks of district Sitapur till January 2009 and Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction Project with the support of UNICEF in 1 block of District Bahraich. The main focus of this project is to mitigate the risk of disaster (Flood) through Risk Reduction of Community. Till dated ABGSS has implemented 74 projects of different nature. Vision: ABGSS envisions the creation of a clean, healthy, educated, just progressive and prosperous society. Mission: To improve the quality of life of people in the operational area through holistic and participatory development mechanisms.

Women Empowerment
To assist the women, our organisation has developed a family counselling programme. This is crucial for providing short-term housing for indigent women while also attempting to resolve their issues so they may become self-sufficient. In addition, women frequently experience an unfair division of social and household duties. We are organising camps to support women's emancipation from poverty and to help them become equal partners in society, which will strengthen everyone's future. We are organising awareness-raising drives to help end women's poverty and prepare them to work alongside us as equal partners in the future.

Awareness for Literacy
To raise awareness of the value of reading, we have initiated education programmes for both boys and girls. Books are periodically given to programme participants at no cost. The program's participants gained a great deal, and the parents of the children who took part pledged to support others so that these camps may help others as well for the general welfare.To improve society going forward, we need to raise common people's understanding of literacy.
